Former Warrant Singer Jani Lane DiesThere are reports that the lead singer for Warrant, Jani Lane of the metal rock band has died Los Angeles. He was 47. Officer Sara Faden says Lane’s body was found Thursday in a hotel. She had no immediate information on the cause or circumstance of his death. Woth his long blond har and tight leather outfits Lane embodied the excess of 1980’s hair metal rock bands. He joined Warrant in 1984 and wrote such songs as “Heaven” and others. He had an on and off relationship with the band, leaving it in 1992 before returning and quitting again several times. In recent years , he appeared on VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club and made news for a drunken driving arrest. He is survived by two daughters from two previous marriages.
Jani Lane had a problem with addiction however he would never admit to it, nor would he get help for it either. The alcohol in his system is supposedly what caused the arrest for drunken driving. There are many people who loved their music and the lyrics that were sung by Jani Lane. It is amazing how many fans they had through the decades. Some individuals claimed that their music was to heavy metal however there were more fans that believed it was an awesome group.
Although he is gone, he will definitely be missed. He could sing like no other and his help and charity for others was also noted. There is still no cause as to what happened to him to make him die, but there will probably be an investigation as to find out for sure.
