Priyanka Chopra doesn’t aim for Rs 100 crore for Teri Meri Kahaani

Priyanka Chopra doesnt aim for Rs 100 crore for Teri Meri KahaaniBut that in no way means that Piggy Chops isn’t dreaming of a superhit film this time!

Looks like Priyanka Chopra has her definition of ‘superhit’ in place. And it doesn’t have anything to do with the popular yardstick of Rs 100 crore. Surprised? We surely were. ‘Coz after Priyanka’s two movies, Don 2 and Agneepath crossed the coveted mark we thought that the actor might be interested in those numbers yet again. But it isn’t so!

“I’m happy that two films of mine – Don 2 and Agneepath saw that figure (Rs.100 crore), but there have been a lot of small films as well which, according to ratio, have been bigger hits than most Rs.100 crore films – be it The Dirty Picture or Kahaani, Ishaqzaade or Vicky Donor,” Pee Cee says, explaining her viewpoint.

Even so, Teri Meri Kahaani, a movie that hit the theatres today, is a typical Bollywood entertainer, and we expected the Chopra girl to set her aims high, at least as far as revenues were concerned. But the jungli billi begs to differ. “It doesn’t mean that only a film that makes Rs.100 crore is a hit. We just hope people like our film and the numbers will follow.” Hmmm.

What’s more, her co-star in the movie Shahid Kapoor also sounds pretty confident about his latest release, even though it comes together with the greatly appreciated Gangs Of Wasseypur. “There’s enough place for two films; our films are very different. So I don’t think such issues should be there. I wish them all the best and hope their film also does very well,” he said warding off any comparisons to Anurag Kashyap’s movie.

And it looks like Shahid, this time around, is banking on the success of his chemistry with Priyanka. “People really liked us in Kaminey, even though we had just eight scenes together and here we have 70 scenes together.” Ahem ahem.

Dear Shahid, we loved you both in Kaminey ‘coz of the kickass plot of the movie. This time though, it’s all about you and your (onscreen) lady love. Will your cute love story fare well, at least as a superhit if not a Rs 100-crore grosser? Guess we’ll have to wait and watch what the box office has to say.
