Happy New Year was supposed to be Farah Khan’s debut film as a director but Main Hoon Naa ended up being that. Ever since then, it took a backseat as Farah went on to make her reincarnation story (in the name of Om Shanti Om) with Shahrukh Khan.
And now that the film is all set to see the daylights, we are hearing a lot about its cast. So we have Farah here, rubbishing all that we knew regarding the film except for Shahrukh Khan’s involvement in it. When asked if Farah and Shahrukh are in two minds about Parineeti Chopra and Sonakshi Sinha for the lead role, the filmmaker said that they haven’t talked to anyone of them. None of them have been approached for the film. She meets Sonakshi pretty often but that doesn’t mean she has signed her for the film. Shahrukh has just returned from London. And now they will sit and take the final call regarding the leading lady. It is a very important character and also the only leading lady in a film comprising of four boys.
Farah also ruled out that John Abraham has been roped in for the film. She said that they did consider him for the role. But they haven’t met and discussed the project. No one should believe what is written in the newspapers. As of now, there is just Boman Irani and Shahrukh Khan. Farah added here, that she is looking forward to recreating the magic of her previous films with Shahrukh.
