Lollywood actor Meera has announced that she is marrying a Pakistani-American Naveed Shehzad, Express News reported on Sunday.
Meera, who recently adopted two baby deer in order to raise awareness about animal rights, is likely to get engaged to Shehzad – an airline captain on February 19 in Lahore, sources said.
“Shehzad is a family friend and I will be getting engaged to him on my family’s insistence,” Meera said.
As reported earlier, the Lollywood diva and veteran actor-turned-director Reema Khan married US based Pakistani cardiologist Dr Tariq Shahab on November 19, 2011. The nikkah took place at a court in Virginia, during which the actress wore a green outfit designed by Hasan Shehryar Yasin.
While talking to the media Reema had advised girls to follow her example and abide by their parents’ decision concerning marriage.
According to the paper, Meera will get engaged on February 19. The venue has not yet been finalized, but there are talks going on that the ceremony will take place in Lahore.
The source said, “Meera is getting married in February. Naved is a professional pilot. They both have been seeing each other for more than three years now. Finally Meera wants to settle down in her life, but that doesn t mean that she will give up acting.”
Meera is planning to invite her close friends from India to attend the wedding, the paper further added.
Pakistan actress Meera has decided to marry with an American-born pilot Naveed Pervez, and the engagement ceremony will be held on February 19.
According to reports, the actress has taken her final decision but final date of marriage will be decided with the consultation of families of Meera nad Naveed Pervez.
It is to be mentioned here that Reema had recently married with a Pakistani-born American national cardiologist surgeon on November 18.
