Macys sponsorship for Go Red For WomenMacy’s is the official founding sponsor of American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement that invited customers to the annual Wear Red Sale from February 5th all through to February 10th in order to bring awareness and also raise the much needed funds that will be used in fighting the leading killer disease amongst women – the heart disease.

This year, Macy’s Go Red For  Women Movement is continuing with the sales of the official Red Dress pin in all of its stores nationwide, all through to Friday, February 14. The Red Dress collection has always kicked off Fashion week since the year 2003 with various popular celebrities taking the runway and 2014 was no different. Colbie Caillat, Lindsey Vonn, Bella Thorne, Anna Sophia Robb, Giada De-Laurentiis and Jill Martin all wowed the crowds with their red gowns that were created by some of the very top designers in the fashion industry. Some of these designers include Nicole miller, Carolina Herrera, Mark Zunino and Carmen Marc Valvo.

“With the star power of both celebrities and designers, including the young designers of the Fashion I ncubators housed at Macy’s across the country, this was an evening that gave credence to the true power of red and its ability to unite so many in the movement for women’s heart health. Macy’s is proud of our 10 years and $46 million in support of Go Red For Women, and we were honored to be a part of tonight’s incredible Red Dress Collection 2014 show,” said Martine Reardon, chief marketing officer of Macy’s.
