King Khan Losing magic

It appears that the King of Bollywood can no more hold his audiences captive.

Shah Rukh Khan’s latest comeback on the small screen reality show Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout has been met with an abysmally low TRP (target rating point).

The second week of the show saw the TRPs dip from 2.6 to a mere 1.7. Apparently SRK’s presence has failed to salvage the show with continued dismal viewers rating.

The poor showing prompted swipes from popular hosts, such as Rakhi Sawant, presenting the “Rakhi Ka Insaaf” show on NDTV Imagine, the same channel telecasting SRK’s show.

The glam girl told the local media, “My Rakhi Ka Insaaf on the same channel had more viewership than Zor Ka Jhatka.”

“Ek dum Zor Ka Jhatka laga hai!” Sawant added.

Zor Ka Jhatka, an Indian reality game show inspired by the American reality show Wipeout, started airing on February 1, 2011.

The much touted appearance of King Khan on the show proved to be a damp squib with viewers rejecting his antics.

Shahrukh Khan was paid a whopping pay cheque of Rs 20 crores for the show.

Known for his tongue-in-cheek comments and wise-cracks, SRK’s lacklustre narration on the show left many disappointed and questioning his lack of appeal.
