Easy Chinese Style egg Fried Rice Recipe


Easy Chinese Style egg Fried Rice RecipeIngredients:
2 cups cooked and cooled rice (left over rice can be used)
3 pods of garlic, chopped tiny
1/4 piece of 1 large onion (this is what is used, you can use 1 small onion too)
2-3 green chillies, either chopped or slit
1/2 tbsp sesame oil (I use this for flavor, you can omit this, then use regular oil in this place too)
1/2 tbsp regular oil
1 green onion or spring onion, chopped
1 egg (optional)
2 tbsp chopped carrots
2 tbsp green peas
(or you can use frozen chopped carrots and peas)
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp soya sauce ( I used dark soy, so only 1/2 tsp, if you have light you can use more for the desired color)
Heat both the oils together in a pan. Add the egg and beat it till cooked into tiny pieces. Add onions, garlic, green chillies and cook till onions turn transluscent. Add the chopped carrots and peas, little salt and saute till cooked. Add the rice, little more salt and the soy sauce and mix everything together until properly mixed. Cover and cook for 5 min till rice is soft. Add the chopped green onions and turn off the heat. Enjoy hot!!
