The upcoming film will mark the directorial debut of the 39-year-old’s actor husband Arbaaz Khan, who produced the first film. The film will again see Salman Khan reprise his cop act as Chulbul Pandey.
“We are all very excited about the release of the film. The preparations are on in full swing. We are eagerly awaiting the release of the film on December 21,” said Malaika.
The actress’s item number Munni Badnaam Hui in Dabangg was a chartbuster. When asked if she will be seeing doing anything similar in the sequel, she said, “Well you will have to wait and see when the film releases. I cannot disclose anything at the moment.”
Actress Kareena Kapoor has been roped in to do an item number in the film. The main cast of the film – Sonakshi Sinha and Vinod Khanna – have been retained, except Sonu Sood. The new addition to the cast is southern star Prakash Raj, who plays the role of the main antagonist.
Malaika walked the ramp for designer Vikram Phadnis at the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour here last night, where the latter showcased his bridal collection Nazakat.
She epitomised grace while walking the ramp in a gota and zardosi golden lehenga-choli and pink net dupatta.
The collection was a blend of Indian and western influences. The silhouettes varied from skirts, kalidaars teamed with bundis and structured jackets and capes. The dupattas had lavish gota work and the stoles for the men were adorned with elaborate tassels.
An intense flamboyant colour pallet of royal blue, beige, grey combined with red, coral and lime green was used in the collection.
Designer Wendell Rodricks also showcased his festive collection titled ‘Splash’.
Against the backdrop of black and gold, models sashayed in colours like chilli red, bright yellow, hot pink and neon orange. The garments slipped effortlessly from beach to red carpet, lounge to premium luxury.
