Every facet of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s life has been broadly covered by media. They just can’t have enough of her. Not because she is one of the beautiful women in the world but because people are always curious to know what is happening in her life. When she got married to Abhishek Bachchan, press soon followed her like a shadow to spot a baby bump. Now that she has a baby, they want her to be back on screen. However, Aishwarya showed no such interest as she is happy being a mother. Well, we hear that won’t be for long as in all probability, Aishwarya has agreed to be part of Mani Ratnam’s next film based on Daphne Du Maurier’s famous 1938 novel Rebecca.
Those who have read the novel will know that Rebecca is a story of a newly wedded wife who is being constantly compared with her husband’s first wife by the maid of the house. She finds the comparison very intimidating and overpowering until she discovers that there was no love between her husband and his first wife either. A source informed that Ratnam is right now scripting the movie and is looking to transform it into a today’s story.
The source explained that Aishwarya and Ratnam share a great rapport. Aishwarya Rai debuted with his Tamil movie named Iruvar in 1997. Ten years later, they worked in Guru and post that in Raavan. Aishwarya never said no to any of Ratnam’s projects as she holds him in high esteem. This time too she couldn’t say no to him. It is expected that the movie will hit the floor sometime next year and may release in 2014.
